I love this place. When I think about what I love about my home town of San Pedro, I think of small, mom and pop places like this and smile. The son who works there feels like a salt of the earth guy, affable, cheerful, and implacably optimistic. I was blessed to meet the mom there last time I went, getting pizza, rolls, and cookies. I came up a bit short that day in the cash department, a few cents. I told her that I'd head out and bring what I owed in a few minutes. "Nonsense," she said, and handed me the box with a smile and told me to have a good day. That's not just a business, she's a great neighbor. I can't tell you how sad I am when I come by looking for rolls or a brownie only to find that they are on vacation, which they do for a few weeks out of the year. God knows, they've earned it. Just a beautiful place, and a beautiful family.
One of my favorite spots on earth. Call in your order the night before, and it'll be boxed up and ready when you arrive. Cash only. Great people too. Definitely try the pizza as well, I like it better at room temp a few hours later for lunch.
The pizza is bomb & the pastries are just as good . It's definitely addicting , you can eat there bread daily or atleast I could . my job usually gets a whole pizza for the crew & we can't get enough it . They open real early so that's a plus & you can preorder the pizza so it's fresh & ready in the morning
We first went to see collosus bakery but left because the prices are insane.for starters .$7 for one cookie. Went to Joseph's bakery up the street instead and the baked goods are delicious. You can taste the authenticity and original pastries are dreamy. Prices are affordable. Please support this establishment.

This was my first visit to Joseph's Bakery and safe to say I was impressed. This is a nice little bakery hidden away in the heart of San Pedro! I was immediately greeted by the owner and the service was great! They offer goods such as Pizzas, pastries, and other sweet baked goods! tip: Either show up really early if you want to find specific goods or pastries because they all run out fast! And I mean fast!!! They are very nice enough that if you call in early they can make you warm pizza ahead of time! I loved this place and will soon be back for more!
I want to come back just for the service alone!!!! The food/ baked goods are good, but what I find to be superior here, is the service. You are greeted with the warmest welcome! The sweetest lady was helping me.... I arrived closer to closing and the selection available was minimal, but what they did have, I enjoyed. The brownies are superb!!!! Literally, one of the best brownies I've ever eaten. Maybe, it was because the service was so good, but I thoroughly enjoyed it! The cheese pizza is also yum. Personally, I'd skipped the lemon bar but definitely go for the brownie!!!! Yummy scrumptious! The prices are super reasonable, especially in comparison to other similar establishments, and parking was easy to find. I definitely recommend. : )
